Through a pilot program, Invest STL is giving $20,000 to 50 residents in an underserved St. Louis neighborhood to help them stay, grow, and build wealth in their community. Civic Insight works with Invest STL to use credit bureau data to track participants' progress in a blinded cohort, allowing for careful and consistent monitoring. This proprietary administrative data also helps measure the program's impact by comparing participants' results with a similar group not receiving funding support. This approach shows how well the program is working and helps Invest STL understand how direct investment can strengthen families and communities over time.
